LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17 (UPI) — Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend have been experiencing issues with getting pregnant, the model admitted on the latest episode of FABLife.

Both Teigen and the show’s executive producer, Tyra Banks, shared their perspectives regarding being constantly in the spotlight and how it affects their personal lives. While Teigen and Legend struggle with having children, Banks suggested her career has distracted her from the move to motherhood.

An emotional Banks explained to her live studio audience and fellow co-hosts her plans during her twenties to have children. “When I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, ‘In three years I’m gonna have kids.’ Then I turned 24. ‘In three years I’m gonna have kids.’ And then just every single year I kept saying that,” the now 41-year-old television personality said. “And then, after a while it’s like, OK, now I want to — and it’s not so easy.”

Teigen, 29, explained she and Legend have been trying to have children for a few years — even before they were married. Frequently asked questions by the press and fans such as “when are the kids coming?” have been hurtful and intrusive, Teigen said.

“I will say John and I are having trouble,” the Victoria’s Secret model said, mentioning they’ve visited fertility doctors. “We would have kids five, six years ago if it’d happened, but my gosh, it’s been a process.”

“So, anytime somebody asks me if I’m going to have kids,” Teigen continued, “I’m like, ‘One day, you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who’s really struggling, and it’s going to be really hurtful to them. And I hate that. So, I hate it. Stop asking me!'”

Both Banks and Teigen appear on the daytime talk show FABLife alongside co-hosts Joe Zee, Lauren Makk and Leah Ashley.
