CINCINNATI, Jan. 13 (UPI) — An Ohio zoo has named one of its newborn baby penguins in memory of legendary performer David Bowie, who died this week.

The 5-day-old penguin was born on Bowie’s birthday, Jan. 8, two days before the singer died. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden shared video of the newborn penguin on Monday.

“Bowie the three-day-old little penguin is doing fine in the Zoo’s nursery. He was born on Friday, David Bowie’s birthday, so keepers decided that Bowie would be a good name for him,” the post read followed by the hashtag #RIPDavidBowie.

Bowie is a little penguin, the world’s smallest species of penguin. The zoo has the largest colony of little penguins in North America.
