URBANDALE, Iowa, Dec. 10 (UPI) — Hillary Clinton told supporters to give her their votes to show her Republican rivals that their stances on issues such as immigration have “consequences for their White House hopes.”

At a town hall meeting Wednesday in Urbandale, Iowa, Clinton told a crowd: “Get me elected so that, No. 1, Republicans will realize it doesn’t help them, when they run for president, to be against immigration reform. They will begin to understand that this is a political issue that has real consequences for their White House hopes.”

Politico reported the event was her second town hall of the day. During both, she accused Republican front-runner Donald Trump of trafficking “in prejudice and paranoia.”

“We have to enlist help … from Muslims around the world,” she said. “Instead, Donald Trump is supplying them with new propaganda.”

Clinton and others have spent the week condemning Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States. On Wednesday, Clinton tweeted a link to a quiz on her website that challenged people to match quotes with the Republicans who said them. “Who said the shameful, dangerous, and extreme quote: Donald Trump or another Republican?”
