MIAMI, Nov. 13 (UPI) — The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a woman who went overboard from the Norwegian Cruise Line ship Norwegian Pearl during a dance party.

The unidentified woman was reported missing Thursday night by crew members, who said she fell from the ship’s deck about 22 miles off the coast of Cuba. The cruise line said it deployed three rescue boats and notified the Coast Guard in the search. Norwegian officials said her fall from the 15-deck boat was not an accident.

“A female guest was observed intentionally going overboard while the ship was sailing in the Yucatan Channel,” Cruise Norwegian said in a statement.

The ship, which was hosting an electronic dance music Mad Decent Boat Party, had originated from Miami for a four-day journey to Cozumel, Mexico.
