WASATCH COUNTY, UTAH – June 25, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a Provo man who hasn’t been seen since June 7, 2015.

Officers said that Wayne W. Buckley, 73, of Provo was reported missing on June 12 after his family believed he had gone camping but could not find him when they went searching for him.

Buckley’s Chevrolet pickup was located on the Co-op Creek road at the Sleepy Hollow trail head in the Strawberry area of Currant Creek in Wasatch County later on during the night on June 12, 2015.  Investigators believe he either walked from the area his truck was parked or he possibly got a ride from someone else.

The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, Search and Rescue and Life Flight have conducted numerous searches of the area and have not been able to locate him.

Buckley suffers from emphysema and it is not believed he has walked very far on his own. There is no description of what he was wearing as Buckley was alone.

Investigators said it appears that all he took with him was his clothing and his .38 caliber revolver.

The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office is asking that if anybody has seen Buckley or may have information regarding Wayne’s whereabouts to please call Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office at 435-654-1411.
