WINTER HAVEN, Fla., Nov. 11 (UPI) — Police are seeking information about a Florida man who was seen on video stealing a gumball machine from a local restaurant.
Winter Haven Police Department shared surveillance footage from the restaurant, as he spoke with an employee before lifting the gumball machine and carrying it out through the front door.
The man told employees of the Sakura restaurant in Winter Haven he had to take the machine outside to be serviced when he loaded it into an unknown vehicle and drove away, according to WFTS.
The racing-themed gumball machine was black with red stripes and, along with its contents, was valued at about $800, according to WTSP.
Police are seeking anyone with information about the man seen in the video of the Nov. 4 theft or someone who has recently acquired a gumball machine matching the description.
