NICE, France, Dec. 17 (UPI) — A French anti-terrorism judge charged three additional people in connection to a July terror attack in Nice that left 86 dead.
Three men, ages 36, 31 and 24, were taken into custody Friday after being accused of helping arm Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a Tunisian Islamic State supporter who drove a truck into crowds of people who were celebrating Bastille Day. More than 400 people were injured in the attack.Bouhlel was shot dead by police during the attack.
The three men were among 11 people who had been arrested in the case. Eight people were released from custody.
To date, six people have been charged in the case, but investigators have not shown any of them knew he was planning the attack.
