High Times at Cannabis Cup in Denver

UPDATE: Snoop Dogg is playing at a venue in Denver, CO. at the same time as the Cannabis Cup is going on. As people were getting high they weren’t thinking about ditching out on their blunts during the Snoop Dog concert because well it’s Snoop. But it seems that everyone was being searched and asked to throw away the weed or put it somewhere else, like in a vehicle.
DENVER, CO. – April 20, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) The HIGH TIMES Cannabis Cup took place in Denver this weekend, with the final day today on 4/20.
The event is the world’s leading marijuana trade show, celebrating the world of ganja through competitions, instructional seminars, expositions, celebrity appearances, concerts and product showcases. Hosted in states that have legalized medical and recreational marijuana, the Cannabis Cup stands as the foremost gathering place for the cannabis community to network and celebrate.
Going strong for nearly three decades, HIGH TIMES Cannabis Cups are the most established and trusted in the marijuana industry. During the weekend, big names including Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, SOJA, Nas and J Boog were scheduled to perform.
One of our Gephardt Daily staffers was there and spoke to people from Texas, Washington D.C., Florida and more. Most were at the event for recreation. A veteran from Virginia told him that he takes marijuana for medication for his chronic pain and to help him sleep. Jamal, from Bermuda, said he was also there for recreation, because in Bermuda, it is a felony to have any amount in possession. And Ashley from Colorado was there for Parents-4-Pot, helping to teach their kids about being a cannabis user for medication. Clint, a returned missionary from Arizona, said: “An event that is at the tip of the spearhead of our species’ experiences of freedom, an experience few get to have.”
The next Cannabis Cup is in Northern California, June 27 and 28, with more details to follow.
