Huntsman Cancer Institute breakthrough may stop bone degradation in breast cancer patients; leads to clinical trial

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 26, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A possible breakthrough in the war on cancer may soon offer hope to millions of patients, especially those battling breast cancer.

A new compound developed by researchers at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City appears to slow or stop bone degradation in breast cancer patients, one of the leading causes of death for those fighting the deadly disease.

The exciting discovery is leading to a series of all important clinical trials in humans, and patients who may soon be involved say they are all in.
