Dec. 5 (UPI) — Lamborghini unveiled the company’s new SUV, the Urus, at its headquarters in Sant’Agata, Italy, on Monday.

The four-door Urus, named after the wild ancestors of the Spanish fighting bull, is meant to be more practical and family friendly than Lamborghini’s typical high-powered sports cars.

“We design experiences: Urus is one of them. It is the first ever Super Sport Utility Vehicle and it delivers an unparalleled experience,” Lamborghini Chief Marketing Officer Katia Bassi said.

The Urus weighs about 4,850 pounds and features six driving modes geared toward scenarios such as driving off-road or through sand or snow.

It features a 650-horsepower, twin-turbo V8 engine and can achieve a top speed of 190 mph, making it the world’s fastest SUV, C-Net reported.

The Urus can go from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and can reach 124 mph in 12.8 seconds.

It also features rear-wheel steering and a Torsen central self-locking differential that splits torque 40/60 to the independent front and rear axles.

Lamborghini is expected to release the 2019 Urus in the spring and will retail in the United States with a starting price of $200,000.
