FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Jan. 2 (UPI) — Massachusetts police arrested a Connecticut man after finding and seizing several weapons from a car parked in the Gillette Stadium employee parking lot.

Foxborough Police shared a photo of the weapons including a crossbow, meat cleaver and katana. Matthew Bromson, 48, was arrested on charges that include trespassing and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police discovered the weapons after receiving a call about a suspicious man during the NHL’s Winter Classic outdoor hockey game on New Year’s day.

A spokesperson for the New England Patriots said Bromson was not an employee of the stadium nor did he appear to be attending the Winter Classic. Police also confirmed it was an isolated incident.

“At no time was there a threat to Gillette Stadium. Bromson was taken into custody without incident and there were no injuries to any of the involved parties,” police said.
