May 30 (UPI) — Mike Dubke, White House communications director, announced his resignation Tuesday.
Dubke, who was brought into the administration of President Donald Trump in February by White House press secretary Sean Spicer, said he was leaving “for a number of reasons, for personal reasons,” CNN reported Tuesday.
Dubke added that he submitted his resignation on May 18 but offered to stay until Trump returned from his trip to the Middle East and Europe. Trump arrived home Sunday, and Dubke is still arriving daily at the White House. His final day has not been determined.
“It has been a privilege to serve this president,” Dubke told CNN.
Dubke was a late addition to Trump’s administration, replacing Jason Miller, who served in Trump’s presidential campaign.
