FULSHEAR, Texas, Dec. 17 (UPI) — A Texas police department is celebrating the release of the latest Star Wars film with a hoax dashcam video starring characters from the franchise. The Fulshear Police Department posted the video to Facebook explaining that it showed how the department “lost a police car.”

The video shows an officer pulling over an SUV and asking the driver to get out of the vehicle. The driver is revealed to be Star Wars character Chewbacca, while the Wookie’s best friend Han Solo gets out from the passenger side.

Captain Solo explains he and his cohort are on their way to be special guests at a premiere for Star Wars: The Force Awakens as two more franchise favorites — Sith Lords Darth Vader and Darth Maul — exit the vehicle.

The police officer tells the characters he is “part of the Force” and asks to accompany them to the premiere.

The officer joins the characters in the SUV, leaving his patrol car behind.

A hooded figure appears and is soon revealed as a thieving Jawa that climbs into the police car and drives away.
