Radio personality Art Bell dead at age 72

PAHRUMP, Nevada, April 14, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Art Bell, the longtime radio  personality and host of “Coast to Coast AM” has died at age 72.

According to Nye County, Nevada Sheriff Sharon Wehrly, Bell was found dead Friday in his home in Pahrump, Nevada.

A cause of death has yet to be determined.

Bell ruled the late night airwaves during the 1990’s with a syndicated show carried by 500 stations featuring wide ranging discussions about bizarre conspiracy theories, involving everything from Bigfoot to the paranormal.

The shows were broadcast from KNYE 95.1 FM, a radio station which Bell founded and made its home in a doublewide trailer 60 miles west of Las Vegas.

Bell had retired in recent years, although he had a brief gig on SiriusXM satellite radio in 2013.
