BOSTON, Sept. 25 (UPI) — One person is in critical condition after a stabbing spree that left six others injured early Sunday in Boston’s Theater District, according to Boston police.
Nearby Emerson College sent a text message at 3:11 a.m. stating that two suspects were at large. On its Facebook page, Emerson said “No Emerson community members were involved in the incident.”
Police responded to a fight around 2:15 a.m. on Tremont Street and found victims had been stabbed with knives and bottles, police superintendent Bernard O’Rourke said.
O’Rourke said one suspect was identified but the name wasn’t released. One person wounded was in critical condition, O’Rourke said.
The injured were being treated at hospitals, according to Boston police spokesman Stephen McNulty. Bars and clubs in the area close at 2 a.m.
