Police said they found a rented U-Haul van about five blocks from the Kings Highway station, which is where police believe that James boarded the subway. Inside, they found a 9mm Glock handgun purchased years earlier by James, three ammunition magazines, a hatchet, fireworks and a liquid believed to be gasoline.

Police said that the gunman wore a gas mask and an orange construction type vest when he shot several people at a Brooklyn subway station Tuesday Photo by John AngelilloUPI

In addition, police say YouTube video linked to Frank, 62, calls for violence.
