DANBURY, Conn., Oct. 12 (UPI) — Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is still an active part of her daughter’s lives, from behind bars.
Giudice, the subject of a three-part special that started Sunday, Teresa Checks In, helped daughter Gia plan her eighth-grade formal in June. Giudice also arranged for friends to send Gia flowers and provide her a stylist.
“My wife, she doesn’t miss a beat, that’s for sure … she’s a rock,” said her husband, Joe Giudice.
Joe Giudice told Andy Cohen of Watch What Happens Live that although Gia, 14, tells her younger sisters Gabriella, Milania and Audriana that mom is away “working,” they all know what their mother is going through.
Sunday’s special also revealed that Teresa Giudice told Gia to post a message from her own Twitter account saying, “Thank you for your outpouring of support and for standing by me through this most difficult time. Love love love you all!”
The couple will trade places before Christmas when she ends her 15-month jail sentence early. At that point, Joe Giudice, 43, will go to prison for a 41-month sentence, stemming from multiple fraud charges. In the interim, the two have been trying to maintain digital contact and even gave phone sex a try.
The second part of the special will air Oct. 18 at 9:30 p.m. EST on Bravo.
