‘The Grinch’ is the No. 1 movie in North America with $66M

Nov. 11 (UPI) — Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch — with Benedict Cumberbatch voicing the part of the green grump in the animated adventure — is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $66 million in receipts, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Bohemian Rhapsody with $30.9 million, followed by Overlord at No. 3 with $10.1 million, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms at No. 4 with $9.6 million and The Girl in the Spider’s Web: A New Dragon Tattoo Story at No. 5 with $8.015 million.

Rounding out the top tier are A Star is Born at No. 6 with $8.010 million, Nobody’s Fool at No. 7 with $6.5 million, Venom at No. 8 with $4.9 million, Halloween at No. 9 with $3.8 million and The Hate U Give at No. 10 with $2 million.
