Nov. 20 (UPI) — A supplier for food retailer Trader Joe’s has recalled nearly 37,000 pounds of chicken and turkey salad products that may be contaminated with silica and glass fragments, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said.

The USDA said the recall involves ready-to-eat chicken and turkey salads produced between Nov. 4 and Wednesday by Green Cuisine.

The California-based company received complaints about the foreign matter in the products and notified inspectors Friday, officials said.

Affected products were made in separate facilities with “use by” dates between Nov. 10-21 and the USDA inspection code, P-40299.

White Meat Chicken and Curried White Chicken Deli salads were sold in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The stock keeping unit codes are 98091 and 96426.

Turkey Cranberry Apple salads have been recalled in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington states with the code 60983.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported.

Shoppers who bought the affected products can call Trader Joe’s Customer Relations at 626-599-3817 or send an email.
