BLACKSBURG, Va., Feb. 5 (UPI) — Two Virginia Tech students plotted and planned to kill 13-year-old Nicole Lovell, ultimately luring the 7th grader out of her house, slitting her throat and disposing of her body, prosecutors said.

David Eisenhauer and Natalie Keepers discussed their final preparation for disposing and concealing Nicole’s body over a meal in January at a Cook Out restaurant in Blacksburg, Va., prosecutors said in a bond hearing for Keepers. The 19-year-old allegedly told authorities she was “excited to be part of something secretive and special.” Her bond was denied.

Keeper was charged with being an accessory to murder before the fact, concealing a body and being an accessory to murder after the fact. Eisenhauer, 18, was charged with murder and abduction.

Investigators said Eisenhauer had an inappropriate relationship with the girl. He killed Nicole because she was planning to expose that relationship, law enforcement said.

Nicole went missing after midnight Jan. 27. Her mother, Tammy Weeks, found her bedroom door barricaded and an open window in the room. Nicole’s body was found three days later in the woods in North Carolina.

Prosecutors said Eisenhauer and Nicole corresponded through social media on Jan. 27 just after midnight. Eisenhauer and Keepers allegedly bought a shovel and looked for remote locations before the killing. Keepers helped Eisenhauer load Nicole’s body into the trunk of his Lexus and the two went to a local store to buy cleaning supplies, authorities said.

Eisenhauer was expected to go before a judge for a preliminary hearing on March 28. He continues to deny his involvement.
