Oct. 8 (UPI) — London police arrested a woman who tried scaling the front gate of Buckingham Palace in front of a crowd of tourists on Saturday evening.
London Metropolitan Police said the woman, who was not identified, was in her 30s. She was charged with suspicion of trespassing. A police spokesman said the incident was not suspected to be terrorist-related.
Video shot by onlookers shows the woman scaling the tall gates in front of the official royal residence. Two male officers rush over on foot and pull the woman down. She was quickly handcuffed and dragged to a police car.
Onlookers clapped and shouted jeers at the woman.
