WURZBURG, Germany, July 18, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — More than 20 people are injured after being attacked by an ax-wielding man on a German passenger train.
According to a report from the Frankfurter Allegmeine Zeitung, the attack took place Monday near the town of Wurzburg, in southern Germany.
Police say they have identified 21 victims, and a number of their injuries are considered life-threatening.
The attacker has reportedly been shot dead by police.
Nearby rail lines have been closed as investigators arrive on scene.
