“Last night our investigators located a male in Laverkin who was a person of interest,” said Buell. “Last night they conducted interviews and later made an arrest and around 8 p.m. he was booked into the Washington County jail,”
“Detectives have positively identified him as the one in the photos and obtained information leading to his involvement in this Incident. He was located in LaVerkin, where he was taken into custody by HCPD, with the assistance of the LaVerkin City Police Department. The suspect was cooperative and compliant with Officers. He has been booked on charges of Aggravated Kidnapping and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
“I definitely feel that the stress level in the community has gone down,” Buell said. “There’s been a lot of good comments made form the community,” said Buell. “I know that the Principal of the school issued a statement to the parents letting know that an arrest been made, and there seems to be a lot less stress.”
