UPDATED See it here: Trump rushed offstage by Secret Service during Reno rally

RENO, Nev., Nov. 6, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump was rushed offstage by security officers at a rally in Reno on Saturday evening, according to several news sources.

Video on several sites shows Trump being removed from the stage by officers in his security detail, who surrounded him and took him to a backstage area.

It wasn’t immediately clear what happened, but reports said at least one man was detained and taken from the rally by armed guards and Secret Service agents.

The Secret Service later released a statement, saying that someone in front of the stage had shouted “Gun!” but no weapon was found after a search of the person and the immediate area, numerous sources report. The person was apprehended, but authorities did not identify the individual or say whether he had been charged with a crime.

A short while after the incident, Trump returned to the stage and continued to address the crowd of his supporters, thanking the Secret Service for the fine job they do.
