NEW YORK, April 8 (UPI) — Indiana Pacers player Chris Copeland was reportedly stabbed in a Manhattan night club and his wife was slashed.

Copeland and his wife were taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was treated for a stab wound to the abdomen while she was treated for slashes to her arm and leg.

The former Knicks player was at 1 Oak on West 17th in Chelsea when he got into an argument in middle of the club.

Charges are still pending in the case, but two Atlanta Hawk players Thabo Sefolosha and Pero Antic were arrested for trying to prevent police from setting up a crime scene.

A police spokeswoman told the New York Times Sefolosha “charged at an officer” while Antic “physically grabbed another police officer.”

A man was arrested and the knife was recovered outside of the club.
