MANHATTAN, Kan., March 25 (UPI) — Kansas State has dismissed two of its players and transferred another, leaving them short for next season.

Kansas State coach Bruce Weber announced Tuesday that sophomore Marcus Foster and freshman Tre Harris have been dismissed from the program, while sophomore Jevon Thomas requested a transfer.

Both Foster and Harris dropped in performance and Foster was suspended for three games.

“Marcus and Tre have been unable to live up to the standards that we expect of our players,” Weber said in a statement. “It is a privilege to represent Kansas State University and there are consequences when players don’t live up to those expectations. Hopefully, they will learn from this experience and make the necessary progress to continue their basketball careers elsewhere.”

Thomas wanted to be transferred to a school closer to home.

Weber is already starting to fill the holes in his roster.
