Runnin’ Utes Headed to Sweet 16 in 75-64 Win Over Georgetown

For the first time in a decade, the University of Utah’s Runnin’ Utes are headed to the Sweet 16, thanks to a hard fought 75-64 win over fourth-seeded Georgetown Saturday night in Portland.
The fifth-seeded Utes (26-8) will now head to Houston, where they will face the winner of Sunday’s game between top-seeded Duke (30-4) ) and eighth ranked San Diego State (27-8).
Brandon Taylor topped the Utes’ scoring with 14 points. Delon Wright was close behind with a total of 12.
This is the first time the Utes have advanced to the Sweet 16 since 2005, when they were eliminated by #2 Kentucky.
