SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 5, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Jazz will open the preseason with an international exhibition.
The Jazz will host the New Zealand Breakers of the National Basketball League at the Delta Center on Oct. 4 to open its six-game preseason slate.
It’s the second consecutive trip to Salt Lake City for the Breakers, who lost to the Jazz 114-94 in the preseason last season.
The New Zealand NBL team also will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Oct. 10.
“It has been tradition for the BNZ Breakers to fly stateside and compete against the very best in the NBA, and we are proud to continue our association with the best basketball league in the world,” Breakers owner Matt Walsh said.
The Jazz also will host the Houston Rockets (Oct. 7) and Sacramento Kings (Oct. 15) during the preseason. All home games tip off at 7 p.m. at the Delta Center.
