HURRICANE, Utah, May 10, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are reminding everyone how to avoid becoming a victim of vehicle burglary or theft, after 11 burglaries and one vehicle theft were reported on Thursday.
Here is the post from the Hurricane Police Facebook page:
“Today alone we had 11, yes 11 vehicle burglaries reported and 1 vehicle theft. Of these 12 guess how many were locked……. 0 that’s right not one of these vehicles were locked.
“Several of these vehicles had the keys left inside them, including the one stolen. Lots of property taken from these vehicles including a firearm!!!
“So let’s review how to avoid becoming a victim of a vehicle burglary,” as posted by the police:
- Roll up your windows.
- Remove your vehicle keys from the vehicle.
- Remove all valuables AND FIREARMS from the vehicle.
- LOCK YOUR VEHICLE!!!!!
