3 right lanes of southbound Interstate 15 in Lehi closed after crash

LEHI, Utah, Feb. 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Three right lanes of southbound Interstate 15 are closed in Lehi after a crash involving two commercial vehicles and an SUV.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Nick Street told Gephardt Daily the crash occurred in the area of mile post 282 near 2100 North in Lehi just after 10:30 a.m.

The crash involved two commercial vehicles and a Dodge Durango, and a dump truck ended up on its side as a result of the incident. The dump truck leaked out fuel onto the freeway and Hazmat crews are on the scene cleaning up that spilled fuel.

Heavy duty wreckers have been brought in to upright the truck that is on its side.

“Clean up will take some time,” Street said.

No serious injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
