Blaze leaves Herriman residence ‘likely a total loss’; 9 residents, 3 pets safe

HERRIMAN, Utah, June 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews from three fire and one police department responded to a blaze Saturday at a single-family residence in Herriman.

The fire was reported late Saturday afternoon. Crews responded to 13900 S. Horizon Ridge Lane. Those who responded to the scene were the Unified Fire Authority, West Jordan Fire Department, Bluffdale Fire Department and Herriman Police Department. Dominion Energy crews also arrived at the scene.

The “Single family residential structure in Herriman is likely a total loss,” a statement by the Unified Fire Authority says.

“All nine residents — two adults, seven kids, a dog and two rabbits — made it out safe, and no firefighters injured in the operation.”
