LOGAN, Utah, Oct. 24, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The body of a missing Utah State University student was found Wednesday night, USU has confirmed.

The student, 19-year-old Baxter Franklin King, had been the subject of searches by law enforcement officials and private citizens.

“Missing student Baxter Franklin King was found deceased last night,” the statement says. “No foul play is suspected. “Our thoughts are with his family, and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.

“We are heartbroken to lose a member of our Aggie family. We thank all of those who shared posts on Facebook and Twitter and those who physically searched for him.”

The body was found by hunters in Logan Canyon, a USU spokesman confirmed. King had last been seen on Oct. 14, and had reportedly texted another person on Oct. 17, a previous USU statement said.
