HERRIMAN, Utah, Oct. 3, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Herriman child is in extremely critical condition after she was found face down in a bathtub on Thursday morning.

The 911 call came in at 11:18 a.m., and first responders raced to the 12500 South block of Mooniite Hill Court, in Herriman.

“A 10-year-old child was not feeling well, so her mom put her in the bathtub,” Lt. Cody Stromberg told Gephardt Daily.

She returned a short time later, “and found her face down in the water,” Stromberg said.

“Her mother pulled her out and started CPR. Our officers arrived and took over, then paramedics arrived. She was transported by medical helicopter in extremely critical condition.”

Stromberg said there’s nothing yet to indicate it’s more than a “terrible accident.”

“The medical staff will have to sort through it,” he said when asked the nature of the original illness. “It may become an integral source of information later. For now, we don’t have that information.”
