Manhunt underway in 5 states for Ohio for man who posted video of homicide, claims other victims

April 16, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A manhunt is underway for a suspect who bragged on Facebook that he had killed someone Sunday and posted a video of himself shooting an elderly man.

CNN reported late Sunday that Cleveland police are urging the suspect, who has been identified as Steve Stephens, to surrender.

They quoted Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams as telling reporters earlier in the day, “We need to bring this to a conclusion — today… There is no need for any further bloodshed in this incident tonight.”

There is concern that Stephens may have left Ohio, and authorities are advising residents in nearby states to stay on the alert.

According to CNN, Cleveland authorities said Stephens did not know the man he killed at about 2 p.m. Sunday. Stephens also claimed on Facebook to have killed several other people, but police say they are unaware of other victims.

Stephens is described as black, 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighing 244 pounds. He had a full beard.

Police said he was last seen driving a new model Ford Fusion with temporary license plates.
