Metro PCS in West Valley City robbed at gunpoint

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, May 3, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Metro PCS store just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

West Valley City Police Sgt. Anthony Chapman said a male entered the store, at 4100 S. 4040 West, and produced a black handgun.

The suspect demanded money, took the cash from the register, and fled from the store.

He ran westbound on foot, and it wasn’t immediately known if he had a vehicle waiting somewhere nearby.

Chapman said investigators will be viewing surveillance video from the store and surrounding businesses to get a more leads.

The suspect is described as having a small build and wearing a gray hoodie and black pants. Chapman said he was wearing sunglasses and had the hoodie tied around his face.

Anyone who may have seen the suspect or who has any information about his whereabouts is asked to call West Valley Police at 801-840-4000.
