SALT LAKE/TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, Feb. 18, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — More than 5,000 customers are experiencing power outages in Salt Lake and Tooele counties late Sunday night.
According to Rocky Mountain Power’s website, at 11 p.m., 2,598 customers in Salt Lake County and 2,887 in Tooele County were without power.
A utility pole fire in the Stansbury Park area was reported at 9:36 p.m. and power is expected to be restored by 1 a.m. Monday. This outage is affecting about 2,900 customers in ZIP codes 84044 and 84074.
An outage near 2700 West and 3100 South in ZIP code 84119 is affecting 544 customers, according to the RMP website. Restoration is anticipated around 12:30 a.m. Monday. The cause of this outage is still being investigated.
