LOGAN, Utah, May 4, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Logan police say a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded at 3:45 p.m. to a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of 700 North and Main Street, Logan City Police Lt. Barry Parslow said.
A Chevy Silverado was headed west on 700 North and was crossing Main Street on a green light when it was struck by a northbound GMC pickup, Parslow told Gephardt Daily.
The impact pushed the Silverado into a motorcycle that was stopped at a red light in the intersection, he said.
The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital in serious condition, Parslow said.
The driver of the white GMC pickup did not stop and fled the scene, he said. The driver is described as a white man with a beard and wearing a red shirt. He was last seen heading north on 50 West from 700 North, Parslow said.
“We are checking with area businesses for cameras to help us identify the individual and the vehicle specifically,” he said.
