UTAH, June 2, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The western two-thirds of Utah and southwest Wyoming are in for some hazardous weather Sunday night and possibly into Monday.
The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City warns that showers and thunderstorms moving across the northern half of the state could bring heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and small hail.
Thunderstorms will be possible Monday, as well, with the potential for locally heavy rain, wind gusts and small hail, according to NWS.
“The showers and thunderstorms moving through the Salt Lake Valley are capable of producing a quick 0.25” of rain,” NWS Salt Lake City tweeted Sunday evening, advising drivers to use caution, as the rain may cause “ponding” on the roads.
