One dead after pickup-semi collision in Weber County

HOOPER, Utah, Sept. 18, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — One man is dead after pickup truck and a semi hauling a flatbed trailer collided Wednesday afternoon in Hooper.

Weber County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of 4600 South and 5900 West at about 12:23 p.m. on the report of a traffic accident.

“The accident involved a semi truck pulling a flatbed trailer and a ¾ ton pickup truck,” a WCSO statement says. “While deputies were en route they were advised the driver in the ¾ ton pickup was deceased.”

No details were released on the condition of the other driver.

The accident is currently under investigation. No additional information about those involved is being released at this time, the statement says.
