Pedestrian hit, killed crossing US-89 in Harrisville

HARRISVILLE, Utah, Nov. 22, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 29-year-old woman crossing US-89 was hit and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night.

Harrisville police officials said Brittany Zoller was crossing the highway, not in a crosswalk in the area, of 1150 North in Harrisville at approximately 10 p.m. when she was struck by a southbound vehicle.

Police are investigating whether victim impairment may have been a factor. The crash remains under investigation Thursday.

The driver, who officials do not believe was impaired, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
