LOGAN/SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 22, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Logan have been investigating several vehicle burglaries in which the side windows were smashed out and purses were stolen.

The burglaries occurred Dec. 9. Checks from the stolen purses are now being cashed in the Salt Lake City area.

In a recent news release, the Logan Police Department has posted photos of the person who has been using the victims’ identification and cashing the checks.

It is believed the person is a woman, but it’s also possible the individual is male. A wig is worn in at least one photo.

This person is driving a silver Kia van with a stolen license plate.

Anyone who recognizes this individual or who has any information about the vehicle burglaries is asked to call Detective Wursten at 435-716-9485 and leave a message on his voicemail.

Police also want to caution everyone to never leave valuables — purses, wallets, cellphones, etc. — in a vehicle.
