SANDY, Utah, Sept. 23, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Sandy are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night in the area of 10042 South and 700 East.
Unified Police Sgt. Jason Nielsen told Gephardt Daily the victim is a 19-year-old man who was transported to the hospital in fair-to-good condition.
Nielsen said the call came into emergency dispatchers just before 10 p.m. and took place near Lone Peak Park.
According to Nielsen, detectives were waiting to interview the young man until after he was treated for the gunshot wounds to his leg and thigh area.
