NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 23 (UPI) ─ Gunmen opened fire at a New Orleans park during the filming of a music video after a second line parade, injuring 16 people, police said.

About 500 people gathered at Bunny Friend Park in the Upper Ninth Ward for the impromptu filming of a music video. At least two gunmen then began firing at each other, New Orleans Police said in a statement.

Police officers were on their way from monitoring a nearby second line parade to break up the gathering when they heard the gunshots and were on the scene immediately.

“They were about a block away when they heard gunshots,” police said.

Police were searching for the suspects.

Ten of the injured were taken to area hospitals, while another six arrived by their own means. There were no reported fatalities.

“At the end of the day it’s really hard to police against a bunch of guys who decide to pull out guns and settle disputes with 300 people between them,” said Mayor Mitch Landrieu at a press conference.
