SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Feb. 13, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A Salt Lake City man has been arrested on 20 counts of second-degree felony sexual exploitation of a minor after police allegedly found more than 20,000 images of child pornography on a computer in his home.
According to a statement of probable cause from Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was served on Feb. 9 at a home in the area of 900 S. Jefferson St. (between 200 West and West Temple), and police found more than 20,000 images identified as child pornography, described as pre-pubescent females.
Loren T. Jackson, 37, “was in the custody and care of a 6-year-old female child similar in age to those depicted in the child pornography,” the probable cause statement said. After being read his Miranda rights, Jackson admitted he is the only person who lives in the residence full-time and that he is the only one who downloads and views the child pornography.
Police found Jackson in the home. He was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
