Sandy police: Suspects steal Jeep, other items from garage; return to burglarize home

SANDY, Utah, April 30, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating two burglaries that occurred at a home near 8900 S. Heights Drive. The first incident took place on Tuesday, April 10, and the second on Friday, April 27.

A news release from Sgt. Jason Nielsen, Sandy Police public information officer, says someone entered the victims’ garage at about 3 a.m. on April 10 and took a gray 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee and other items while the victims were asleep.

At about 1:40 p.m., April 27, two suspects — a man and a woman — returned to the home in the victims’ stolen Jeep while the victims were away. Several items were taken from inside the residence, the news release states.

The two suspects were seen walking in front of the residence several times.

The woman is Caucasian. She was wearing a pink top, a peach-colored skirt, and sandals.

The man was wearing a baseball-style hat, a dark-colored long-sleeve shirt, and baggy pants.
