Search for missing man scaled back, Cache County sheriff says

CACHE COUNTY, Utah, Dec. 4, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The Cache County Sheriff’s Office has scaled back the search for a Lovell, Wyoming, man who was reported missing and endangered.

Kyle Ryan Burton, 18, was last seen Wednesday, Nov. 29, in the River Heights/Logan area.

On Friday, Search and Rescue with the help of a DPS helicopter searched the area, and the sheriff’s office requested the public’s help in finding Burton.

In a news release Monday, the sheriff’s office stated, “A ground search was initiated on Saturday morning to search high probable areas. We would like to thank everyone that helped with the search. Search efforts have been scaled back until more information or evidence is discovered. We will continue to follow-up on new information.”

Burton is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He is Caucasian and has brown hair and blue eyes. He has a surgical scar on his left knee.

Burton is described as shy but friendly. He was last seen wearing black Adidas shoes, blue jeans or shorts, and a T-shirt, possibly red. It is believed he was on foot and did not have a coat or phone.
