Taylorsville fire displaces 3

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, March 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — One resident was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire Friday morning in Taylorsville.

Unified Fire Authority officials responded to the scene, at 2348 W. Heatherglen Drive (4465 South), firefighter Matthew McFarland told Gephardt Daily.

The fire occurred in half a duplex, and displaced three people, who were being offered Red Cross assistance.

The other side of the duplex was still habitable, and residents there were able to stay in place, McFarland said.

The cause of the fire and a damage estimate were not immediately available. The smoke inhalation victim was reported to be in good condition, McFarland said.
