TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Oct. 25, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Officers with the Unified Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at a Walgreens, at 4668 S. Redwood Road, late Thursday night.

UPD Watch Commander Lt. Manfred Lassig said a citizen called 911 and described the possible suspects as two or three Pacific Islander males.

“We did find some shell casings in the parking lot,” Lassig said. “We haven’t found anyone that has been hit. No one has shown up at any hospitals with injuries.”

Lassig said police searched the area but didn’t come across any suspects in their search.

“We had a couple of cars described, but haven’t been able to locate them, ” he added.

He did confirm that shell casings — possibly four — were found in the parking lot, but police have no victims or suspects at the current time, and no witnesses to the actual incident.

He said there doesn’t appear to be any connection between this incident and any other situation currently under investigation in West Valley City.

Gephardt Daily will update this story when more information is made available.
