SPRINGVILLE, Utah, July 16, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews are battling a new wildfire Monday night near Springville in Utah County.
The Round Peak Fire started just before 10 p.m. and, according to the Springville Police Department on Facebook, officials “are getting air resources ready to hit it first thing in the AM.”
Subsequent scanner chatter, though, indicated that crews might be going up overnight because of the danger to homes in the area if the fire moves down the mountain.
Gephardt Daily will update this developing story as more information becomes available.
