DRAPER, UTAH – September 9, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The family of a hiker who fell from a cliff in Corner Canyon has set up a GoFundMe page in her honor.

Police say Kerry Crowley, 43, went hiking Tuesday morning around 7:45 in an area known as Jacob’s Ladder. When she did not return family members notified search and rescue teams.

Wednesday morning helicopter search teams spotted Crowley’s body near the Cirque of Lonepeak. Investigators say she appeared to have died after falling two to three hundred feet from a steep cliff face.

Family and friends announced the establishment of a GoFundMe in Crowley’s name. The accompanying tribute reads as follows:

Hiking was Kerry’s happy place.  Traveling and adventure are her middle names.  She would draw closer to God and find herself when she was hiking.  She loved to share that experience with anyone who would go with her, but that didn’t stop her from going alone. She’s hiked thousands of miles all over this amazing country we live in.  Kerry was a strong and determined person, she set a goal to complete all 60 hikes in the Wasatch mountain range from the book “60 Hikes within 60 Miles.” She completed the 60th hike to Lone Peak completing her goal and finishing her journey on earth.

She was a loving mother of 3, and friend that was loved by all. She was a loving wife that will be loved and missed eternally. She was a very accomplished musician and concert pianist, able to touch many with her love and passion of music. As her spirit lives free, so will we mourn and remember the everlasting love and memories of this wonderful woman.

We thank all of you who have been so thoughtful and kind at this time and for your donation. Words cannot express our gratitude.
